EASTER SERVICES Easter Sunday

Join us Easter Sunday as we recognize that Jesus Christ is not in the tomb but is risen from the dead. We offer our sacrifice of praise to Him on this special day, because we worship a resurrected Lord & Savior. Jesus Christ our Lord.

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice — the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Romans 12:1 (NLT)

THE SWEET TRUTH OF EASTER

March 24, 2018

Our children enjoyed a special Easter gathering last weekend, under the direction of our Children's Director, Stephanie Baker, with the Easter theme: THE SWEET TRUTH OF EASTER.

The children enjoyed food, crafts and games as well as a special message from Stephainie about the amazing love of God shown to us at Easter through the visual aid of M&M's.

M= represents the MESSAGE of the MESSIAH of God's Salvation through his son Jesus, who became our rescurer by his death on the cross and resurrection from the dead.

E= the M turned sideways becomes an E which represents the words EASTER gives us ETERNAL LIFE which we have through Jesus, God's son, who is the only way to God and Eternal Life.

W= the E turned sideways becomes a W which represents the words WORTHY of WORSHIP. Our God is worthy of our worship and praise for his great love for us and the gift of salvation through his son Jesus.

EVERYONE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME.

As the children bounced their baloons they recited the words they learned: MESSAGE, MESSIAH, EASTER, ETERNAL LIFE, WORTHY of WORSHIP.

EASTER FAMILY DINNER FUNDRAISER
We had a wonderful ham dinner prepared by our Hospitality Team, with all the fix'ins; sweet yams, cheesy potatoes, green beans and sweet desserts. It was a lovely time of fellowship with one another.

The proceeds from this event will go towards raising money for our parking lot improvement.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE member care

You can help make a difference in someone's life through great and small acts of love and kindness. The scripture teaches us that we are to LOVE ONE ANOTHER and CARE for ONE ANOTHER as the BODY of CHRIST.

Ephesians 5:1-2 Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.

GLOBAL OURTREACH
Help sponsor Loise Mayrena's mission trip with Global Outreach to Romania

As you may know, Louise is a senior at William Jessup University, and she is majoring in liberal studies with the hopes of becoming an educator. She has enjoyed her time at William Jessup and has acquired so much knowledge, experience, and relationships that she knows will benefit her life. Currently she is set to graduate around January 2019.

She is participating in a mission trip to Romania through a Global Outreach Team (May 28- June 11, 2018). They will be reaching out to gypsy families and those living in neighboring villages outside one of the biggest cities in Eastern Europe. Her passion for this trip is due to her primary focus - to serve and interact with the children there, many of which are orphans. She is looking forward to this trip since God has set in her heart a love and compassion for children. Furthermore, she is thrilled to have this overeas opportunity to serve, demonstrate love and hope, and share Truth with people who do not know Jesus.

She must raise $2,900 (She must be fully funded by April 27th) If you are able to help partner with her, please send a donation to www.jessup.edu/globaloutreach/ under the name (Louise Mayrena/Romania).

Whether through prayer or financial partnership, you are a member of the team and play a crucial role, and I am grateful for your support! ≈ Louise Mayrena

God is good! I want to take a second to thank those who have chosen to partner with my team and I so far, whether through prayer or with finances, as we prepare for our Globlal Outreach to Romania. At this moment, I am already 77% fundraised (only $656.35 more)! I truly am in complete shock on how quickly this is all coming together. As we continue our training and preparation, my team and I are growing in excitement and anticipation. For those of you who still wish to take part in this, prayers are always welcome and donations can still be made online at https://jessup.edu/globaloutreach/giving/ until April 27th. We also still have t-shirts to sell as well.

You can also partner with my team by helping us make bracelets for the children we will be encountering! My team and I are commited to make at least 300 bracelets, so we can use all the help we can get! This is a simple and more tangible way to make a global impact and share the love of Jesus.

Please contact me if you decide to partner with me in any of these ways or if you have any questions or want more information. I would love to talk more about it! ≈ Louise Mayrena
